2012 Library / Information Center Administrators Meeting

ANKOS Library / Information Center Managers Meeting was held on November 16-17, 2012 in Ankara, hosted by İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University. İhsan Doğramacı, who is one of the founders of ANKOS, started the meeting with a speech made by David E. THORNTON, the Library Manager of the host institution, which is very important for the fact that one of the ANKOS meetings was held for the first time at Bilkent University.

11th ANKOS Annual Meeting was hosted by Muğla University

The 11th Annual Meeting of ANKOS (Anatolian University Libraries Consortium), which acts as a bridge between the publishers and intermediary companies operating in the field of electronic publishing, and the universities and research libraries, has been held annually since 28 April - 01 May 2011 in Muğla. ANKOS: A Successful 11th Annual Conference

DOAJ website is now in Turkish!

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is one of the world's leading Open Access Platforms with 7000 journals and over 630000 articles in these journals. Lund University, which is the project leader, and ANKOS Presidency, which supports open access as an alternative way out for sustainable science. The DOAJ Turkish Interface is also important since it is the third page of DOAJ published in English and French. Now, Turkish users will be able to use this site in their own language with high impact journals. This development was announced by DOAJ to the world with a press release.
