13th ICOLC Europe Meeting was held by ANKOS at Istanbul Bilgi University

This year, the 13th ICOLC (International Coalition of Library Consortiums) Meeting, which was organized by the ANKOS Presidency, was held on September 18-21, 2011 at Istanbul Bilgi University Santral Campus. 33 countries; a meeting of 94 participants from 55 world consortium members, including JISC, COUPERIN, CRISTIN and VIVA; Rector of Bilgi University on the first day. Remzi SANVER as host, ANKOS President Gültekin Gürdal and Istanbul Bilgi University Library and Electronic Resources Manager Sami Çuhadar made the official opening speech on the second day. In the first day, the first session provided information on licensing of consortium products and possible new consortium models, as well as information on ANKOS activities and the activities of institutions such as SPARC Europe and COAR supporting Open Access in Europe. Following the presentations on the third day of the Journal Usage Statistics and the meetings of the managers of the big publishers and sales representatives to share their plans for the next year, the group activities and evaluation session on the last day of the meeting were announced after the 14th ICOLC Meeting will be held by the Austrian Academic Consortium in Vienna. meeting ended.
