ANKOS Employees came together at the workshop held in Çeşme Pırıl Hotel on 17-18 December 2011. The workshop where the current situation was evaluated and exchanged ideas; It started with the opening speech of Gültekin GÜRDAL (İzmir Institute of Technology), currently the President of ANKOS.
After the opening speech Çağatay GEZER (Akdeniz University) made a presentation titled “VTS Guide, and gave information about the duties and responsibilities of Database Officers. Afterwards, Sami ÇUKADAR (İstanbul Bilgi University) made a presentation on behalf of İstatistik ANKOS Statistics Working Group,. Emphasizing the importance of the database administrators to enter the information about the databases to which they are responsible in a timely and complete manner; the current situation and updates in the program.
After all ANKOS Working and Research Groups gave brief information about their activities in 2011; Database Officers, who have problems with the databases they are responsible for, expressed the problems they encountered and exchanged ideas about solutions.
At the workshop where all ANKOS employees were given a certificate of appreciation, the awarding of a plaque to employees who completed their fifth year at ANKOS had an emotional moment.
On the last day of the workshop; After a short trip to Alaçatı, İzmir Institute of Technology Library was visited.
