The fifth of the ANKOSLink international conference, which was initiated in 2013 with a new format and a new understanding from the local to the region, was held on April 5-8, 2017 at the Kervansaray Congress Center in Antalya. The 17th anniversary of ANKOS was celebrated. ANKOSLink 2017 International Conference was held with 503 participants from 17 different countries including Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and England. When we look at the distribution of participation, 170 company representatives from 59 companies, 236 people from 138 ANKOS member institutions, 27 general participants from 21 different institutions and 70 people are ANKOS Volunteers and guests.
The main theme of the ANKOSLink2017 International Conference was Değişim Change in Learning and Teaching and Libraries ”. A rich program was prepared for the conference, which included many topics from electronic resources management, data mining, mobile interfaces, mobile library services, learning models and future academic libraries. Presentations of ANKOS working groups, connected opportunity network for libraries that closely concern our university libraries, protection and transfer of information sources from the past to the future, innovation and R & D, supporting research activities in universities, open access and many other topics were discussed during the conference.
Another point that made ANKOSLink2017 conference different is the possibility of poster presentations as an innovation in ANKOSLink this year. Poster Özyegin University Libero: A Library Hero ü won the best poster award as a result of the votes of the participants. In the ANKOSLink2017 International Conference, 4 presentations, 4 panels and 1 seminar were coordinated by ANKOS. 46 presentations were made by companies.
