The 10th ANKOS Annual Meeting was held on 06-09 May 2010, hosted by Istanbul Technical University.
At the same time, ANKOS celebrated its 10th anniversary, and the historical and cultural richness of Istanbul was tried to be revealed due to the fact that Istanbul was the European Capital of Culture.
Around 250 corporate representatives and over 150 company officials attended the meeting, which was attended by more than 400 participants. Ayhan KAYGUSUZ, Head of ITU Library and Documentation Department, after the screening of K ANKOS Documentary Since its Establishment Bugün, emphasized the importance of solidarity created with ANKOS. Today, even a newly established university can access thousands of magazines in very economic conditions thanks to this solidarity. Only 3 of the largest magazine publishers that our universities have reached through ANKOS and ULAKBİM have 17 million articles. Millions of articles from electronic sources are used every year. As Istanbul Technical University in 2009, we presented only 1.7 million articles and book chapters to our users. There is no need to explain the importance of this service for the researcher. ”
