The General Assembly held by the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) at its annual meetings could not be held due to the 10th anniversary celebrations held in May this year. For this reason, this year’s General Assembly meeting which was held with the participation of ANKOS members was held on 01-03 November 2010 in IC Hotels Family Resort – Belek – Antalya.
At the meeting attended by around 100 Head of Library and Documentation Department; Seminars on ANKOS databases evaluation process, license agreements, ANKOS Working Groups and E-Books were organized.
Kadir Has University KDDB Ertuğrul Çimen and Yüzüncü Yıl University KDDB İsmail Çetinkaya were elected as members of the Executive Committee, which was vacant as a result of the General Assembly.
In the presidential election held by the members of the Executive Board, KDDB Gultekin Gurdal of the Izmir Institute of Technology was re-elected as the President of ANKOS.
During the meeting, the newly established universities and the Heads of existing universities had the opportunity to meet and exchange information.
