The 15th ANKOS VTS Workshop was held in Sile Gardens Hotel & Spa in Istanbul between 05 and 07 September 2018 in collaboration with Işık University. In the workshop organized with the theme of “The impact of consortiums on libraries in the provision of academic information resource”, 2018 studies were evaluated and 2019 targets were determined in the selection and planning of the electronic resources needed by our universities.
The workshop was hosted by ANKOS President. Lecturer. Member Güssün GÜNEŞ started with the opening speeches and continued with the information provided by all database managers about the databases. On the second day of the workshop the invited speaker continued with the presentation of Muhteşem Database Negotiation Processes, Cost Sharing, Experience Sharing with Examples about Pricing Models and Reporting ’by Özyeğin University Library Director Mr. Muhteşem ÖNDER. After the session, ANKOS Working Groups conveyed the annual activities, veritabanı Issues to be Considered in Inter-Agency Communication During the Consortium Studies oturum session was given information to the new database managers. Finally, the President of ANKOS. Lecturer. The workshop ended with the general evaluation, wishes and closing speech of its member Güssün GÜNEŞ. Then, a visit to Işık University Library was made.
