[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ANKOS Annual Workshop was held on October 5-6, 2013 in Ku\u015fadas\u0131 Korumar Hotel with the participation of ANKOS Employees.<\/p>\n

Following the opening speech of ANKOS President Ertu\u011frul \u00c7imen on ANKOS’s growth strategy, 2014 database agreements and preparations for the annual meeting, new volunteers who joined the ANKOS family introduced themselves and stated what it means for them to work at ANKOS.<\/p>\n

In the second session of the workshop; ANKOS volunteers participated in international events and shared information about professional meetings and events. ANKOS President Ertu\u011frul \u00c7imen, IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) Annual Meeting; ANKOS Board Member \u0130lkay Holt, SELL (Southern European Libraries Link) Annual Meeting; ANKOS Board Member Tuba Akbayt\u00fcrk \u00c7anak talked about his impressions of EAHIL (European Association for Health Information and Libraries) Annual Meeting and \u0130stanbul Bilgi University Law Librarian Kerem Kahvecio\u011flu, IALL (International Association of Law Libraries) Annual Meeting.<\/p>\n

Ipek University Library and Documentation Manager Dr. Burcu Bulut, who went to Minho University (Portugal) within the scope of Erasmus Program, gave information about how Minho University has achieved success in Open Access Projects; Derya So\u011fuksu, Technical Services Department Coordinator at Ko\u00e7 University talked about her visit to Tartu University (Estonia) and shared her observations about the library.<\/p>\n

Gultekin Gurdal, the Head of IZTECH Library and Documentation Department, talked about the changes in the third generation University Libraries and the recent trends in the librarianship profession and the trends in academic libraries in his presentation titled What are Libraries Discussing?,<\/p>\n
