[vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_tour][vc_tta_section title=”PRESIDENT” tab_id=”1538427326265-b40e3df1-31d5″][vc_column_text]Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) is an association represented by library \/ information services specialists in order to meet the academic information needs of Turkish and <\/span><\/span>TRNC(Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus<\/span>) <\/span>universities, higher education institutions and all public institutions and organizations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2001, ANKOS has been organizing national and international meetings, drafting policies and providing information services with the participation of librarians, researchers, students, information managers, academicians, archivists and stakeholders operating in this field. In addition, with the voluntary work of the professional librarians, it eliminates the difficulties of access to global resources and contributes to the creation of high value added scientific outputs by providing the academicians and scientists with a better and economically more favorable access to electronic resources of all academic libraries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It conducts coordinated studies with the National Higher Education Institution and T\u00dcB\u0130TAK ULAKB\u0130M in the national arena, and in the international arena it conducts studies with: the Southern European Libraries Link (SELL), Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC), and, Counting Online Usage of NeTworked Electronic Resources (COUNTER). It also operates within organizations such as the United Kingdom Serials Group (UKSG) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ANKOS regularly organizes regional meetings except for the ANKOSLink Conference, in order\u00a0\u00a0 to exchange information, create new cooperation and collaboration areas, increase professional communication and cooperation, and to help the managers working in academic libraries to acquire experience and professional knowledge regarding the electronic resources.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
