Established by 12 libraries in the year 2000, ANKOS has rapidly grown in the past 11 years and became a consortium with a membership of 154 institutions. ANKOS has signed license agreements for 88 online databases in 2011.<\/p>\n

Istanbul Bilgi University<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0is a foundation type university located in the hearth of Istanbul Turkey and a member of Laureate International Universities Network. Istanbul Bilgi University was founded in 1996 as a private, non-profit, and unique institution with a wide variety of cultural and social activities, dynamic environment, access to state of the art technology and exceptional academic staff who are the foundation of BILGI’s quality education. A considerable amount of teaching takes place in the English language and the Faculty of Laws has particular programmes in globalisation and European Integration.<\/p>\n

The conference will be held in \u0130stanbul Bilgi University Santral Campus, situated in the heart of the city at the upper end of the Golden Horn. It is 10 km from Taksim, the centre of modern Istanbul, and 20 km from Atat\u00fcrk Airport. \"3\"Blue Mosque: Dating from the 17th century, an architectural masterpiece famed for its exquisite blue tiles and six elegant minarets. This mosque was built by Sultan Ahmet I during 1609-1616 in the square carrying his name in \u0130stanbul. The architect is Sedefhar Mehmet A\u011fa. It is the only mosque in Turkey with six minarets. The mosque is 64 x 72 m in dimensions. The central dome is 43 m in height and is 33.4 m in diameter. 260 windows surround the mosque. Due to its beautiful blue, green and white tilings it has been named the “Blue Mosque” by Europeans. The inscriptions were made by Seyyid Kas\u0131m Gubari. Hippodrome: The former center of sportive and political activities of Constantinople. Ataturk International Airport is located 25 km from Taksim Square (city centre)<\/p>\n

By Taxi:<\/strong>\u00a0A taxi from the airport to the Taksim Square costs between 17\u20ac to 20\u20ac. The trip takes between 35 and 65 minutes depending on stream of traffic.

From the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport to the City Centre\u2013Taksim Square (~50 km)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sabiha Gokcen International Airport is located on the Anatolian shore of Istanbul and 50 km from Taksim Square (city centre).<\/p>\n
